BA Systems is proud to announce that the Top 100 MBE selection committee has chosen to recognize
BA Systems as one of the Washington region's Top 100 Minority Business Enterprises.
The annual awards program honors outstanding women and minority business owners in Maryland, Virginia,
Delaware and the District of Columbia. In its fourth year, this program is designed
to acknowledge and pay tribute to outstanding women and minority business owners.
“It's an honor for BA to be recognized amongst our peers. In a time of economic uncertainty, we continue
to grow and deliver value for our customers," remarked BA Systems President, William Lee Mapp, III.
"We will continue to innovate and provide the best-of-breed services that our customers are accomodated to."
A panel of distinguished judges chose BA Systems from fourteen hundred nominations.
Mr. Mapp was selected as an entrepreneur who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in four key areas: entrepreneurship, client satisfaction,
professional affiliations and community outreach.
BA Systems continues to thrive as a technology innovator.
BA has delivered solutions in over 25 countries, federal and state government agencies, and some of America’s largest and most respected companies.
BA is a key partner in the Decennial Census 2010 operations and is is a pioneer and technology leader in RFID technologies. BA's RFID Practice is currently piloting its dual-frequency RFID technology at a major pharmaceutical distribution company.
“BA Systems represents the best of what our region’s minority business community has to offer,” said Sharon R. Pinder, CEO of the Center for Business Inclusion and Diversity and founder of the Top 100 MBE® Awards Ceremony. “This award is the culmination of sacrifice, dedication and hard work and will inspire future minority business entrepreneurs to strive for the same level of success.”
Mr. Mapp, along with the other MBE entrepreneurs will be honored at an awards ceremony at the Inn and Conference Center, at University of Maryland University College, in Adelphi, Maryland, on Sunday, November 15, 2009.
